The Trend column reads the story for you: green up-arrows, red down-arrows, exact deltas.

Why it matters: Spotting a slide early is worth more than celebrating a rise late.

Before you start

  • At least two months of tracked data

Step-by-step

  1. 1

    Read the trend chips

↑23 means the keyword improved 23 positions since last month; ↓12 means it dropped 12; →0 is stable.

  2. 2

    Investigate drops

For any red chip, check the attached URL still loads, hasn't lost content, and isn't cannibalised by a sibling page.

  3. 3

    Double down on winners

Rising terms respond to more of what you're doing — internal links, content depth, fresh GBP activity.

Expected result

You know exactly which keywords need attention this month and which are compounding.

Helpful tips

  • A cluster of drops on one URL usually means a page problem; drops across the board suggest an algorithm shift or site-wide issue.

Common mistakes

  • Reacting to a single-month wobble with a full page rewrite.

Troubleshooting

Everything shows stable

Stability at good positions is victory; stability at position 40 means the page needs real work — check its audit row and content depth.
